Is your battery getting a little old? Are you noticing some starting issues with your vehicle? Then, it might be time for a battery replacement.

At Iconic Tire & Service Centers, we provide the battery inspection services and replacement products that you need to get your vehicle running like new. Our team will inspect your battery to see if it's still viable, and if it isn't, we'll replace it with a new one.

In addition to inspecting the battery, we will take a look at your vehicle's electrical system as a whole. Sometimes, problems appear to be connected to the battery when they are actually the result of another electrical system failing. Brake Repair Services

Brake Service in Mesa

Restore Brake Performance

During the life of your vehicle, you should expect to replace the brake pads and rotors at least once. How frequently you'll need brake service depends on how often you drive, where you drive, and the quality of the brake parts installed.

When Do I Need Brake Service?

It's recommended you ask a service technician to check your brakes around the same time as a tire rotation - roughly every six months. Understanding the rate of wear for your specific brake system will help you plan ahead for brake pad and rotor replacement.

What’s Does My Car's Suspension System Do?

Suspension parts absorb unexpected motion from the road. Without a fully functioning suspension system, your car will be harder to control. Problems with the suspension system can cause premature tire wear, negatively affect wheel alignment, and increase gas mileage.

Common Indicators of Suspension Problems:

  • Unusual shakes and vibrations
  • Bottoming out during bumps
  • Excessive bouncing and swaying
  • Leaking shocks or struts
  • Nose-dives when braking

A loss in stability or handling are signs you should seek a suspension inspection. Depending on the results of the inspection, our staff may need to replace suspension parts in order to restore performance.

Steering & Suspension Repairs

We perform the following services:

  • Ball Joint Replacement: Ball joints are found in virtually all vehicles and work a lot like our hip joint. They connect your wheels to the rest of your suspension system. If you have bad ball joints, you may hear a banging sound, have trouble steering, feel vibrations in your steering wheel, or see uneven tire wear.
  • Tie Rod Replacement: If your car shutters or shakes back and forth while driving, your tie rod might need replacement. When a tie rod is loose, your car might begin pulling to the left or right as it follows cracks and bumps in the pavement.
  • Shocks Replacement: Excessive bouncing is a sign that your shock absorbers are worn out. Shocks are usually found on the rear of a car.
  • Struts Replacement: Excessive bouncing is also a sign that your struts are worn out. Struts are encased by a coil spring that absorbs the shock from coil springs and are often found on the front of your car, although trucks usually have them on the front and back.
  • Suspension Inspection: Our inspection identifies whether your steering and suspension system is causing you trouble or whether it's something else. For example, we'll be able to tell if you need a ball joint replacement or wheel alignment.
  • Sway Bar Link Replacement: Also known as the anti-roll bar, your sway bar connects the front and rear suspension and helps you every time you round a corner by forcing your inside wheel toward the ground to reduce body roll. If you're vehicle handling is off or you hear clunks or squeaks, it might be your sway bar.

With summer vacation season upon us, you want your car to ride its best. The staff at Iconic Tire & Service Centers will complete your suspension repairs with care, and get you back on the road in no time. Wheel Alignment in Mesa

Alignment describes the way the tires and wheels are angled on your vehicle. There are three angles critical to an alignment:

  • Toe: Wheels can be toe-in (wears tires on outside) or toe-out (wears tires on inside). Depending on your vehicle, one option will wear tires less than the other. For example, toe-in alignments are performed to compensate for friction that occurs while driving and pushes wheels apart. However, toe-out is the better choice on some vehicles, like many old front-wheel drives, because they were built in a way where the wheels pulled inward.
  • Camber: Camber describes how your tires and wheels lean relative to being straight. There are two types of camber, negative and positive. With negative camber, the tire tilts in toward the vehicle. With positive camber, the tire tilts away from the vehicle. Like toe, your ideal camber depends on your vehicle and how you drive it, as well as road conditions. Most vehicles should have some camber to compensate for turns.
  • Caster: Caster is the angle between the upper ball joint and the lower ball joint. The angle tilt can be forward (negative caster) or rearward (positive caster) and plays an important role in handling. Incorrect caster requires drivers to exert more effort steering and increases the rate of wear on tires.

Aside from experiencing problems with handling or irregular tire wear, you should request an alignment check whenever you install tires. This way, you can make any necessary corrections at the time of installation to ensure you're in the best position to get the longest life from your purchase.

At Iconic Tire & Service Centers, we can align your tires and wheels to optimal angles for your make and model.
